Purpose Statement

Self-esteem is a major key to success in life. The development of a positive self-concept or healthy self-esteem in extremely important to the happiness and success of children and teenagers.1 Therefore when children feel good about themselves, they are better able to resist negative influences in their lives. Positive self-esteem enables children to grow up to be happy, responsible and contributing adults.

The continuing need to build self-esteem and self-confidence in children and youth is on-going and a necessary process that continues to be reported as a neglected area in the mental health development of children in the foster care system. Children in residential treatment require milieus—individual and social interactions that support healthy emotional, physical and psychological development.

We believe that individuals of celebrated status working with educators, administrators, residential counselors and mental health professionals as a team for a life changing cause has tremendous power to make a difference.

We believe that a positive message delivered to inspire and to believe in one’s dreams that celebrated individual can deliver often times can be a life changing experience for young ones. Celebrities can make a difference through providing information infused with inspiration regarding hope, courage, wisdom, creativity and perseverance.
